Good Morning; Please do not make regulations that prevent me from investing in the manor that I choose. I am aware of the risks that am taking and read and signed a document to that effect. Thank you for your attention. Terry Eddy
I OPPOSE RESTRICTIONS TO MY RIGHT TO INVEST. I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks.
I should be able to choose what investments are right for me and my family... you can provide the warnings so that I know what assets are riskier than others. I am capable of weighing those risks on my own.
I am an individual investor and am a frequent user of leveraged and inverse funds. They are fundamental to my trading strategies and are a simple and very safe (for me) way to hedge risk.
Please do not restrict public use of these incredibly useful tools.
I have a brokerage account at Fidelity M & R. They require each customer to specify their risk tolerance in advance. That
provides sufficient screening for an individual investor like myself to take an ETF position with or inverse to an industry sector or the market, whether it is leveraged or not.
I manage my IRA in a Schwab account and without the ability to short utilize inverse ETF's to help hedge in this bearish environment. I have been trading for a number of years and am aware of the risk of leveraged ETF's and stick with single leverage products.
Please do not take away the ability to use leveraged funds as this is a great vehicle to be a bit more aggressive without having to buy individual stocks. I should be able to assess and trade on the risk tolerance I have for myself and my family.
The fund I use is an important tool for me. From my point of view you are trying to fix something that is not broken. In a free country, one should be able to choose their own investments and be responsible for the risk themselves. My input is that there be no restrictions on these securities.
I have owned ProShares for many years and would like to continue to use them as an investment vehicle. I understand the inherent risks in these products, but they also serve an important hedge in the overall investment portfolio. Please do not restrict access to these products.
I have 30 years of investment experience, and my strategy is conservative. I use leveraged and inverse funds as a hedge, and understand the risk of maintaining these holdings over an extended period of time. My investment in these funds never exceeds 3% of my portfolio.
