I am a retail investor with over 10 years experience and can clearly understand the risks involved. You can certainly enforce that a disclaimer is read and understood before trading, but limiting our choice will just artificially distort the market.
I understand the financial risk that I am taking when I purchase leveraged and inverse funds. They are important aspects of my investing strategy. Please do not restrict these assets from the marketplace. Every ETF has a place in the market. Thank you.
This is ridiculous. At what point are people not responsible for their own decisions? Anyone who buys a leveraged fund should know the risks and reasons they are buying the asset, and if they dont, shame on them. Dont punish the rest of us for the stupidity of a few.
I strongly object to this idea. It basically deprived the freedom of retail investors to choose their own favorite financial instruments to trade. If the regulators are so concerned about it, why not publish more education resources to remind the investors about those risks?
Please note that investors should have the right to choose investments that are right for us...there shouldn't be a special test, how unamerican. Inverse funds are critical to me hedging my risk, PLEASE DO NOT RESTRICT MY RIGHT TO INVEST
Leveraged funds are an important aspect of my families investment strategy. I understand the risk. Those of us with long investment horizons should not be limited in our investment choices. Perhaps warnings should provided to investors but options should not be limited.
I've passed the finra series 65 exam and understand the risks of investing in leveraged funds. I only invest my employer match into risky assets and keep my own saving in market funds, this is an unreasonable restriction on retail investors.
I understand the risks involved with these types of investments.
With the ones I hold, I am hoping for interest rates to go up. No matter what type of security I purchase I can loose money. Stocks are shorted Bonds are shorted so what's the difference.
I totally, 100%, disapprove of regulation of leveraged investments. I am an investor of over 40 years, and there is risk in any investment. I utilize only one such investment, and use to have a position in a market in which I am considering investment in the physical asset.
Its important to continue to allow innovative financial solutions like leveraged assets. I feel this type of asset is of lesser risk than many other asset options. Ie individual low quality stocks, SPACs and options contracts.
