I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I'm full capable to understand leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I do not need these measures imposed on me.
I am AGAINST passage of FINRA’s Regulatory Notice 22-08 taking effect. I trade indexed ETF's over short time horizons, am aware of, and am satisfied with the risk acceptance protocol followed by the service providers. I DO NOT WANT ACCESS TO COMPLEX PRODUCTS RESTRICTED.
I as a Investor understand the risks involved in L&I funds before investing on them. So no need for restrictions on these funds. As 90% of stock market scrips are risky anyway, I do not see any problems with these direxion funds. Please do not make any limitation on these. Thanks.
I have held Direxion leveraged ETF's for over 10 years, understand the risks as outlined, and have had no problem accepting the results of anticipating the market direction in specific areas. There are plenty of educational materials available. Don't fix what really isn't broke.
Comments: I sign a release with my broker for trading 3x funds... Like any investing and trading, the person needs to be comfortable with the risks involved. There is not a test for a person trading a drug manufactures when they are working with people lives and the negative possibilities surrounding medical products.
I oppose the restrictions that are being considered to invest in leveraged and/or inverse funds. I've been investing for many decades and I'm aware of the risks associated with such funds and if/when I choose to invest in them, then it should be my right to do so without any special process.
I use leveraged inverse ETF's occasionally to hedge my portfolio against loses. I am aware of the risks involved and watch them closely when in use. I would appreciate it,if you folks would just leave things as they are. Thank You R.L.Dixon
I am strongly opposed to this proposed restriction. I understand the risks and complexities of such investments. Furthermore, I educate my clients about such alternatives and limit their use under every circumstance. This is overreach and an assault on our rights and freedoms to invest our assets as we determine appropriate.
I determine what investments are right for me and my family. I'm capable of understanding the risks of leveraged and inverse funds. I have a right to hedge my portfolio without the permission of the government. This is simply an attempt to harm the retail investor to the benefit of large investment firms.
There should be no provision that attempts to limit my right to invest in leveraged or inverse funds, that is my choice and no one else. What should ONLY be the focus is transparency as to the risks and accurate information provided through disclosures and financial reporting and that is where the regulatory emphasis should be.
