It's important for these markets to be driven by real people. As lay investors, we have a right to form our own informed opinion of risk and benefit when investing; we don't need regulators to stop us just because they think a product is too risky.
I personally have 50+ years in the securities Industry as a former member of the NYSE and several Securities Licenses with FINRA. I also believe it is the individual's choice when it comes to investments. If there is a complaint of any kind due to losses, they have a right to arbitration or mediation. Is there risk involved? Absolutely!
The use of inverse funds helps me reduce risk in times of market
Volatility!
If this action is taken my only option is to be in or out of market
Please dont take my ability to trade on money I have earned
Allow freedom to investors to continue to think for ourselves
Inverse funds have been beneficial to me in my investment journey..So why interfere? I assume its risks just like I DO WHEN i invest in other instruments. Now when large institutions were bundling mortgages and swindling the little guys the regulators were no where to be found...
Regulators should not choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. I should not have to go through any special process to invest in public securities. I understand the risk associated with alternative investments and should have the right to do as I choose with my own capital.
We shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before we can invest in public securities, including cryptocurrency funds such as BITO.We are capable of understanding cryptocurrency funds such as BITO and their risks. We do not need these measures imposed on us.
As a college-educated citizen of the United States, I am capable of understanding the investments Im interested in and their risks. These measures are unnecessarily restrictive and will harm people more than they help. I - not regulators - should be able to choose the right investments for my goals and public investments should be kept public.
Dear Sir/Madam, I oppose any restrictions to my right to invest in cryptocurrency funds or other popular investments deemed to be complex. As an investor, one should understand the risk with any form of investments but have the rights to select all available assets to invest in. Thank you.
"Complex Products" as FINRA calls them are an extremely important part of the financial system. They allow investors of all sizes to hedge against downside risk and increase upside potentials. Restricting their access would be extremely detrimental to the financial health of the markets and to millions of investors of all sizes.
I am writing to inform you that I oppose this regulatory proposal to limit access to leveraged and inverse funds. I feel that retail investors like myself are more than capable of understanding the technicals and risks of leveraged and inverse etfs. Restricting trading of these equities is a violates the principles of the free market.
