I oppose any restrictions to my right to invest in public investments. It is up to the individual investor what risks they are willing to take. Regulators have no business telling me what is good for me.
I am an individual investor that has used leveraged and inverse funds for decades, all chosen by myself. I do not need to be "vetted", particularly by a government
I sincerely oppose any limitations on my ability (right) to invest in leveraged and inverse funds. I have already read and understand the risks associated with this type of vehicle and have been successfully using certain leveraged and inverse funds to hedge my long-term investments.
These are PUBLIC investments and should be available to all investors, not just the mega-wealthy and privileged
Leveraged ETFs can be a key part of an investors asset allocation. They allow educated younger investors, such as myself, access to margin in a safe way. When used responsibly in conjunction with an age appropriate asset allocation, they can boost risk adjusted returns. I have seen no evidence they are being abused and think it would be wrong to limit their access.
I believe that individual investors should be able to invest in various financial instruments at their own discretion. Investing with our own money should not have to be baby sat by any regulatory agencies. I am completely aware of all risks associated with leveraged ETFs and have been able to work through many market conditions trading in and out of them.
I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before investing in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their
Please don't limit our ability to choose what we would like to invest in, whether it's an inverse fund or exponential or both. I shouldn't have to go through a special process or test. I get warning already when I purchase or sell leveraged ETFs so I'm quite aware of the risks associated with the investment strategies. Thanks.
To FINRA regulators,
It is unimaginable and blatant discrimination that you would even consider which stocks or etf's a person may or may not trade. I am fully aware of the risk associated with trading leveraged and inverse funds and they are an important portfolio tool. You need to either ban leveraged and inverse funds completely for EVERYONE or leave things as they are.
Respectfully
Hello, I believe everyone should be able to choose the public investments that are right for them and their family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies. I use them for hedging, as well as investing at times of downturn, like today. I am perfectly capable of understanding their
Please reconsider limiting who may invest in leveraged funds and inverse funds. We are quickly seeing only those who are already financially established being allowed to invest in securities that have potential for high upside. As such, the cards are being stacked against the average investor, even those who are willing to educate themselves and accept the risks.
I have used inverse ETFs for over twenty years, well aware that they are risky investments. Yet they are important to diversify away and/or risk-manage my core "long" positions. Losing this functionality would seriously INCREASE the risk in my investment process. Please do not block or qualify the use of inverse ETFs any more than at present.
