There are multiple risk parity strategies available that are of sound investment philosophy / theory. Restricting these isn't about protecting the retail investor. There are far riskier asset classes and financial products out there ie options, crypto, etc. [REDACTED] there is even legal gambling everywhere you look. Do the right thing - keep the market free. Allow leverage ETFs for retail
To whom it may concern,
I completely understand the risks of leveraged instruments that I use for investing. I do not want regulators to impose restrictions limiting my ability to trade these investments. I have been trading for over 20 years. Restrictions like these would only reduce my ability to protect my portfolio during certain times of uncertainty, as well enhance my positions.
Good evening regulators,
As an individual investor, I have thoroughly researched the risks associated with leveraged funds. Currently, these funds comprise a percentage of my portfolio in which I would be comfortable losing. By removing our access to such funds, you are limiting our ability to hedge our accounts. I would greatly appreciate it if you reconsidered the ramifications of restricting
I strongly object to proposed regulations which would limit my freedom to invest my own money as I see fit. I view regulations intended to protect me from myself as examples of arrogant government overreach. Legitimate regulations should protect me from the harmful actions of others; not restrict my freedom to choose my own level of risk tolerance.
It is unethical to take away our rights to invest in leveraged and inverse investments. We understand the risks involved in these products and they can help us enhance our returns and protect in a down market. Of course they can also magnify our losses if the market goes the other way. Please leave things the way they are and let hard working people invest in these types of products if they
Myselfnot unelected regulatorsshould be able to choose the public investments that are right for myself. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just those who can demonstrate a high net worth or income. Myself, and most all educated investors, are capable of understanding the risks associated with leveraged and inverse funds. We do not need the government to protect us
Please do not make it difficult or prevent me from investing in public securities, like leveraged or inverse funds. I am capable of understanding these funds and the associated risks on my own and do not want more regulations. Please review all existing regulations for opportunities to eliminate regulations that do not serve the public interest and contribute to waste in business, government and
These leveraged investments are a very important tool in my investment handbag. I use such investments very infrequently, when I feel it is appropriate. I know the risks, and only invest with leverage when it is appropriate. In my opinion, it is a much preferred tool than margin buying. Please do not prevent me from using these investments. I do not need FINRA's help in this matter. Thank
I- not regulators- should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies. These funds enable me to seek enhanced returns and they are a very limited part of my overall portfolio. I am capable of understanding
As a research-active Associate Professor of Finance with several publications on ETFs, this is an absolute travesty. There is no substantial evidence in the reduced public welfare due to access to the leveraged vehicles given sufficient and pervasive disclosure of their risks. This is an example of a regulatory overreach harming retail investors and benefitting entrenched industry interests and
