It is not your responsibility to decide who is intelligent enough to handle their own finances. Most people who invest in these products are fully aware of the risks and rewards. They are not that complicated. I have used them rather successfully for years. I see this as just another example of government overreach, with attempts to control and limit our individual freedom of choice. Enough is
I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. Ishouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before you can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds
As a small time investor leveraged ETFs present one of the safest and most reliable ways for portfolio to have exposure that is leveraged higher than the market value. The risks associated with these assets are made clear and are readily presented before investing. I strongly believe that the money I earn is mine to invest in what I see fit and that regulators have no right or business to
Every investment carries a level of risk. While leveraged and inverse ETPs might not be well known to most retail traders, those who know about these products tend to understand how they work and how to use them. Prohibiting adults from purchasing a leveraged index fund when there are people losing money on riskier assets like cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens is ridiculous.
I have used ProShares ETF's for years. My best investment with them is SSO. I have a large gain in that. I am very familiar with the risks of their products. I do know from experience how to use them after years of using their product. I would NOT like to see their products be put into a category of "complex products" and not be able to invest in them. Please do not do
Dear FINRA
Do not take away our ability to invest/trade leveraged and inverse ETFs. I understand the risk and I use it for hedging. Also remember, long term returns of DIA:TNA, SPY:UPRO, QQQ:TQQQ are approximately 1:3 as expected.
At least do not take away the rights to trade these. Broad Index based leveraged and inverse ETFs in due course are not risky. Please look at the data.
Please do not regulate LETFs anymore than they already are. Retail investors should have access to them. We can understand risks and evaluate them just as well as institutional investors and determine our own allocations towards LETFs, if we do see fit.
Please do not add unnecessary regulations. Please keep the market fair and open to everyone.

I am capable of understanding leveraged & inverse funds & their risks. I do not need these measures imposed on me.

Adding additional regulation in advisors and ETFs seems misguided and misplaced. Regulators should be focused on what is creating the real wealth destruction for individual investors which is options trading done by novice investors. By regulating ETFs in this manner it is placing a barrier to using an effective hedging tool that has been in existence long enough for advisors and BDs to know
I am against imposing regulations on my ability to invest in inverse and leveraged funds. I have invested in such funds and realize the risk involved and understand the basics of how they work. Imposing regulations on these funds sets a very very dangerous precedent. What will you regulate next? I don't need some government bureaucracy trying to protect me from myself. That is NOT the role
