Given that our government continues to promote low interest rate environments where elder savers are punished, inverse etfs are an excellent tool to hedge income based stock portfolios. Instead of focusing on singular market events to evaluate etf tracking error, the government should endeavor to actually study long term inverse etf tracking error and counter party risk. Leveraged etfs are
Better reporting on short interest, including synthetic positions hidden in the options chain Full transperancy of the Dark Pool markets - why does more than half the daily volume come from darkpool?? where are those shares? Vastly steeper fines/prison sentences for being misleading regarding short posistions. Your punnishments in the past have merely rewarded the bad actors, they scam us for
We would love to see short sale institutional/hedge fund data be reported just as the regulations require long positions 13F filings in order to file and finalize a purchase. Currently we have an issue where naked shorts have been created in several stocks across the market, but could be better regulated by requiring such filing so be submitted before large scale institutional short positions are
I applaud FINRA’s proposed rule changes and support any rule that makes short interest visible to all investors. Free and fast information leads to better price discovery for all. Buried and outdated short interest reports serve only those who have short positions they wish to remain hidden and those who abuse FTD and naked shorting loopholes to manipulate prices. These actions hurt all investors
Need better eyes on massive shorted stocks regulations blocking naked shares and a sec representative mandatory at every hedge fund Corporation. From what I'm seeing you guys are either paid off or don't know what the [REDACTED] you're looking for. Billions of dollars being stolen from retail investors for more years than you can count on your fingers and nobody has done squat to
Proposed Rule Change to Adopt FINRA Rule 0151 (Coordination with the MSRB) and Amend FINRA Rule 0150 (Application of Rules to Exempted Securities Except Municipal Securities)
FINRA-2008-013 - Proposed Rule Change to Amend Rule 2220 to Update the Standards for Options Communications
Of particular interest is the section on Synthetic Short Positions. Would position reporting also help to track FTD's better and implement some regulation to have those failures sufficiently resolved before more synthetics
To whom it may concern,
I have been investing in triple leveraged ETF's for over 5 years. I have done so responsibly, setting stop loss orders and maintaining a keen eye markets and my portfolio. This has helped me create more capital in a responsible manner over these years. To limit responsible investors from accessing these type of funds would be an over reach of FINRA's
I oppose restrictions of any kind, to my right to invest. I should be able to choose which investments I put my money into. Public investments are just that-PUBLIC, not specific groups of people. AMERICA IS A FREE NATION! I don't want less input and freedom, but more. It is ridiculous to give different privileges to different groups of people. If we have money to invest, it is our right
