I believe that individual investors should be able to invest in various financial instruments at their own discretion. Investing with our own money should not have to be baby sat by any regulatory agencies. I am completely aware of all risks associated with leveraged ETFs and have been able to work through many market conditions trading in and out of them.
It has come to my attention that FINRA regulators may be implementing restrictions on my ability to invest in public investments. I believe I am able to choose the public investments that are right for me. Please do not impose any undo restrictions on me. I will consult appropriate financial advisor if I determine that I need assistance with leveraged and inverse funds in my portfolio.
Public investments should be available to all investors, not just the privileged. I am capable to understanding the risks and making decisions on what is best for my portfolio. All financial decisions have risk, including doing nothing. There is sufficient information presently available in a variety of channels to educate the public of the risks which makes this legislation unnecessary and
As an individual investor, I understand the risk of investing in leveraged and inverse funds. As long as such investment suits my purpose, I have the right to choose the funds I want. It would be unfair if such investment is available to just the privileged and I have to go through any additional processes to invest in such securities. Therefore, I oppose the regulations being considered by the
I disagree with the FINRA Regulatory Notice #22-08. Leveraged and inverse funds are important financial assets to allow individual investor to increase their gains and protect their assets. Please treat us as adults who are responsible for our own decisions and not children who need to be looked over. Therefore, there is no need of a test to determine if we're allowed to invest in these
Please don't pass these regulations. Please stop legitimating the culture of victim hood by passing regulations that are for your child's protection. I don't want you intruding in my financial affairs, gov't's job is to accomplish goals we as individuals cannot. How I invest my money is not appropiate for gov't intrusion. Don't need
Please reconsider limiting who may invest in leveraged funds and inverse funds. We are quickly seeing only those who are already financially established being allowed to invest in securities that have potential for high upside. As such, the cards are being stacked against the average investor, even those who are willing to educate themselves and accept the risks.
I do not believe we need government regulators limiting our investment choices. I have used leveraged funds to help balance my portfolio for years and I should have the rights to continue to do so. I am well educated and more than capable of properly using these financial instruments as part of my overall investment strategy.
Equal access to products and services is central to a capitalist economy. Blocking investment vehicles to those on the inside furthers the perception that our financial system is rigged. Blocking a restriction access to these products will only encourage movement of funds offshore and possibly hiding them from regulators. For the sake of the industry and our nation, work to reduce regulations,
I oppose the proposed new FINRA regulations that would restrict investment in leveraged and inverse funds. They are an important part of many investors portfolios, with good reason, as they can help maintain financial stability (as in recent months). Also the definition of complex products is so broad, arbitrary and vague that it could ensnare a vast number of commonly used public securities.
