I should be able to buy any stock offered publicly and not be required to take any special tests unless I decide to become a broker myself. I know the risks associated with owning any stocks and leveraged or inverse funds really don't pose anymore risk than owning any other stock. This is a free country and I want it kept that way.
Please just enforce whatever it is you’re going to change. The manipulation we see on a daily bases with certain stocks is ridiculous. just do away with shorting a stock all together… why [REDACTED] does a stock need to be shorted?
It is the investors duty to make sure they perform they fulfill their due diligence on the stocks they are going to invest. Most of the trading platforms warn the investor about the nature and volatility risks of these stocks already. There is no need for extreme oversight as such. They should put these regulations in action for the gambling industry if they want to protect the consumers/retail

I oppose restrictions on my right to invest. Its my money after taxes and it is our right and decision to in invest in public funds. Whatever type of funds they might be. I have been investing for many years. I prefer to invest in funds with basket of different stocks in the fund rather than in an individual stocks. In my opinion, investing in individual stocks is very risky.
Banning these trades would make no sense. What is the difference between this and micro stocks? Or putting all of your portfolio into a weekly option. Any stock can go to zero. Everything has risk and reward. And the timing behind this when they are in a downdraw like thr entire market is ludicrous. If you ban this you need to ban all stock trading.
This kind of leverage is vital for investors to protect ourselves and enable us to hold stocks which we might need to sell otherwise and lose out on the capital gains tax. Leverage ETF is like a high growth stock. It makes no sense to require investment to pass a test to trade or even hold the leverage ETF.
Netflix (NFLX) is a good example of a high growth stock. It was one of the best performing stocks for over 2 decades, but in just 5 short months, it drops from $700.99 on 11/7/2021 to $199.87 today's closing (5/3/2022) or down over 70%.
