Dear Sir,
I was made aware of the possibility of trading restrictions being placed on inverse and leveraged investment vehicles.
Using these types of investments allows me to safe guard my portfolio from market declines without having to liquidate my primary investments using only a small portion of my capital. I prefer them to options as I don't have to worry about expiration dates.
Removing our ability to protect our assets and ONLY allowing us to be long stocks is criminal. Why cant we protect our investments? You only want us to lose money if the marker goes down? You crooks need to allow us to short if we want to and STOP trying to control markets so much. GET OUT OF THE MARKETS. Let the free markets be free. If we want to short we should be able to.
I am the one that should be able to choose the investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged!
I am not a full time investor. I feel very confident that the risks of leveraged funds are not difficult to understand. I feel it is no different with ordinary stocks or funds. I believe the index leveraged funds are actually more clear on what my risks are. Please do no limit such flexibility. Brokers make it clear that these options require more knowledge of risks.
I believe any attempt to restrict/regulate this kind of investing is insulting and must be stopped. If Im old enough to earn the money I invest, I should remain completely free to invest it how ever I want. Keep the government out of my private financial decision making!
It should be every individual investors right to choose the public investments. Leveraged ETFs should not be an exception. And the leveraged ETFs provide a more intuitive method for the general public to hedge the total portfolio and enhance the total return. If regulator limits individual investors right to choose leveraged ETFs as the investment tools, this action feels like strongly in
Retail investors need to be able to trade leveraged products.
I am very concerned about the possibility of regulation of leveraged and inverse funds. These are so important to protecting me as an investor. I am not a large investor and only have $30,000 in the stock market. I am not a wealthy individual. Please don't take my ability as the "little guy" to be able to try to make some much needed money.
I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before you can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds.
I know what I'm doing with regard to my own investments. I should not have to jump through regulatory hoops to invest my own hard-earned money without significant regulation like "the big boys."
I shouldn't have to go through special processes like passing a test or demonstrating a high net worth to buy what I want with my own money. Ever. This sort of
