TLS Upgrade

Effective Monday, August 29, 2022, the FINRA TRACE, ADF and ORF Web API reference data downloads will no longer be accessible using the Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.1 protocol. FINRA will disable TLS 1.1, and firms using that protocol will not be able to establish connectivity to FINRA’s secure web servers to download the files. To gain access to the FINRA API reference data downloads, firms must migrate to TLS version 1.2 by August 29, 2022.

Testing:

FINRA will make testing available for this change beginning Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in the testing facility (NTF). Users are encouraged to test using TLS 1.2 as soon as possible. Once testing is completed, users may begin using TLS 1.2 at any time but must make this change prior to August 29, 2022.

NOTE: TRAQS users should also ensure their browsers currently support TLS version 1.2. Any TRAQS user attempting to log in whose browser only supports the TLS 1.1 protocol will be denied service.
