Qualification and Training Requirements
Prerequisites

Candidate must have:

  • a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or one of the following designations or licenses: CIMA, CIMC, CFA, CFP, ChFC or CPA; and
  • five years of professional client-centered experience in financial services. 
Designation Training Requirements

Executive education program through the Investments & Wealth Institute or a CPWA education provider, The University of Chicago Booth School of Business or Yale School of Management

Designation Exam Type

Online or in-person proctored certification exam

Continuing Education Requirements

40 hours every two years
