Qualification and Educational Requirements
Prerequisites Candidate must meet the following requirements:
  • A minimum of three years experience in ERISA and IRS Code/Regulations and completion of the approved employee benefit/retirement services training program OR five years experience in ERISA, plus IRS Code/Regulations
  • One letter of recommendation from manager attesting to qualifications for certification including ERISA and IRS Code/Regulations experience
Education Requirements Completion of ICB-approved employee benefit/retirement services training program, if experience criteria is not met (see above).
Examination Type Final certification exam (multiple-choice, proctored, closed book)
Continuing Education Requirements 30 credits every three years
