Designation Essentials
Status Currently offered and recognized by the issuing organization.
Issuing Organization International Association of Insurance Professional (IAIP)
Qualification and Educational Requirements
Prerequisites Candidate must meet the following requirement:
  • Hold CPIW/CPIM/CIIP Designation for minimum of three (3) years
Education Requirements Candidate must meet the following requirements:
  • Completion of Ethics program
  • Completion of one of the following:
    • 25 hours of classroom-based courses
    • One class leading to an industry designation
    • Writing requirement
  • Completion of 12 hours of IAIP educational programming
  • Service on a committee of the sponsoring organization
  • Attendance at two conventions associated with the sponsoring organization
Examination Type None
Continuing Education Requirements Must be renewed every five years.  Renewal requirements include:
  • Completion of IAIP's Ethics program OR state certified Ethics program
  • IAIP membership must be continuous since CPIW/CPIM/CIIP conferment
  • Meet Industry Education, IAIP Program and Participation standards during the past five years
