As an educated investors kindly Do Not limit our ability to invest freely in the Market
Free Market, no Nanny State!
Freedom I wont the right to chose for myself
I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I do not need these measures imposed on me.
Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies. I use leverage and inverse funds seek enhanced returns.
I ask that you do not restrict my investment decision making by limiting in any way my ability to purchase leveraged products. If there is any concern, make it plainly obvious in the investment literature that is "highly volatile", etc. Use of leveraged products are part of my risk assessment process and risk management decision making. DO NOT further regulate!
This looks like just another step towards total control of free enterprise and free thought in our country. I've been a serious and prudent investor in financial instruments for over 30 years. I understand and fully accept the risks involved with conservative, risky, and off-label investments (including leveraged and inverse securities). Since the markets (including Stocks and so-called safer investments like Bonds) have been hurting recently, Ive been looking for downside protection and other investments that mitigate market risk.
I oppose limitations on my ability to buy the Funds.
This is another part of the government trying to control our lives and build up their empire, so they can say they are looking out for our entrust, another law to stop the regular people from investing!
Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies. They help me protect/hedge my investments and seek enhanced returns. I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. The loss of access to these instruments would hurt me considerably.
I don't feel the government should be regulating every choice investors wish to take. I think people should be responsible for their own decisions.
