Doing this would cause massive shareholder panic and possibly liquidate my investment. The market is based on perception today, and a fund that is difficult to buy into is one that will be avoided. All investors should have the right to chose any vehicle they like with the fair market place.
Please don't limit our choices.
The recent market volatility has nothing to do with people buying leveraged or inverse funds. It is the result of Fed actions, world events and mutual fund redemptions.
Please do not make us bear that burden.
It is not fair to limit the publics ability to invest in these funds.
Do not limit my ability to be able to trade funds. This is class warfare, and everyone should have access to the same tools.
There are many securities that are highly volatile. People legally invest in penny stocks and crypto currency. Why were these ETFs singled out? They serve a real purpose. I have used them personally to address or hedge broad market positions and commodity positions. I think it is up to the investor and their advisors to select appropriate investments.
I suspect more harm has been done to investors in securities such as Netflix and others that have huge sell offs than has been done by all of the leveraged and inverse ETFs.
This regulatory change further exacerbates financial disparity in access to investment vehicles based on high and lower income earners. Consumer safety is important but not at the expense of force limiting options for investment. Whats really needed is stronger financial education, accessible regardless of means, which provides more opportunities for everyday Americans to build wealth based on their commitment to building out their financial acumen and equal access to the markets.
Inverse and leveraged funds are important to my portfolio.
I should be ble to invest in whatever I want.
I would like to choose the investment myself and should not have to have to test.
