Andrew Chedid Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I not regulators should be able to choose public investments that are right for ME and MY family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.

I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I do not need these measures imposed on me.

Alan Taylor Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

It is important to me that I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for my portfolio. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. I also use levered ETFs to offset other exposures in my portfolio that cannot be reduced, e.g. exposures to DB pension benefits with incomplete inflation indexing and hence inflation risk.

Jeffrey Jacobsen Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

Leverage and inverse investment products are a rational and efficient addition to many portfolios. There are sufficient disclosures to assess risks. I cant imagine these investment types are generating any legitimate concern from regulators when there are so many riskier, less scrutinized investments available in the market. Please protect markets and save taxpayers some money by firing the regulators that have time and ignorance or maliciousness to propose such an absurd restriction.

Magnus Tournoy Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

Dear Mr./Mrs.,

It would be a grave mistake to limit leveraged funds to only a select few. Such practice would simply push individuals to trade on margin in a more risky/less controlled manner. By only allowing leveraged funds for professional traders or wealthy individuals you take financial tools out of the hands of the common person. This will make it even more difficult to provide counterweight to potential malpractices of the wealthy few.
