Hi,
Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies. I am capable of understanding leveraged securities and inverse funds and their risks and I, not financial regulators, should be the one making my investment decisions.
I strongly oppose this proposed regulation as I am fully capable as an adult of understanding the risk warnings and invest my income accordingly for my family. Additionally, it is not fair to restrict these investments only to a subset of the public or privileged few. While leveraged funds come with high risk and volatility, they also provide the opportunity to make incredible returns. I invest a portion of my income in these funds as part of my overall investment strategy.
Large hedge funds, investment banks, the very wealthy have the means to create their own leveraged and inverse investments. By eliminating leveraged and inverse ETF's for the public, regulators would merely be creating another avenue by which the wealthy remain and grow more wealthy and the common investor is barred from that same wealth creating opportunity. Is that the underlying objective of such regulation?
You guys need to lay off the investing limitations. What a mess. The SEC just keeps helping the rich get richer. Seems like the agency is trying to expand the accredited investor rules... to helps the rich get richer. Leave crypto alone.
I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I'm fully capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I do not need these measures imposed on me.
Please give individual investors choices!!!
I do not support these changes. I should not need approval from my bank to make an investment. These rules are ridiculous! I consult with a financial advisor from a well known institution. These investment tools are risky, but I feel they are unique and productive. They are made up of reputable companies. Regulators should be more concerned about crypto. A real pyramid system.
FINRA Regulators,
I vehemently oppose limitations on my ability to buy or sell leveraged and inverse funds. You should not restrict or prohibit a private person's ability to invest and to make personal financial decisions. These funds help me hedge my investments against inflationary risks. I, not you sirs, should be able to make my own financial decisions. I do not interfere in your financial decisions, please stay out of mine. Thank you.
There is no need for this regulatory idea. Leveraged and inverse funds are not hard to understand. You buy them with the known factor that the risk can be accentuated. Fine, do your homework and learn. Do not penalize those of us that do. I had a leveraged S&P 500 fund for well over a year and did quite nicely by it. You do have to monitor leveraged and inverse funds. .
