I oppose limitations on my rights to buy the funds
Investing is risky by nature, however the ability to use leveraged and inverse funds as a component of a total portfolio allows me to make considered hedges when there is volatility in the market or when the direction of the market seems clear. I am opposed to the proposed regulation and believe that it will place an unnecessary burden on ordinary investors while providing an edge to institutional investors. Please do not pass this regulation.
I use leveraged inverse funds to hedge my portfolio during times of market turbulence. This means I eliminate volatility from my portfolio during volatile times. I am able to do this with leveraged funds and reduce the amount of margin I may need to use since the fund is leveraged at a better rate. Please let investors make this decision for themselves.
I strongly oppose limiting access to public securities for the select few who pass unnecessary tests. The public is perfectly capable of reading and understanding a prospectus and the associated risks and making wise investment decisions for themselves and their families. The securities under consideration for additional regulation such as leveraged and inverse funds are a key strategy to my family's plan to reach retirement with the necessary means. They are critical to enhancing returns to speed the process of compounding.
This is a very concerning development - are we turning into a China??? Please stop!
Assure information is provided so I can make a decision. I dont need you deciding for me and telling me what I can or cannot do and then tell me its for my safety; in doing so you are overstepping.
Properly structured, leveraged and inverse funds provide investors with alternative methods of making their money work for them. I believe they have a place in a the investment world.
Do not restrict my right to invest in whatever public investments I choose. I'm an adult and an American citizen and have the right to do so. It's not your job to make those decisions for me.
stop the attempt to over-regulate the current leveraged and inverse funds/ETFs
Please don't remove my only way to make money during market corrections. I use inverse ETF's during these times and they are extremely important to me to grow my investments during market corrections.
