Mary Pastore Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

Mary Pastore
N/A

I should be able to choose what type of investments I want to invest in for me and my family. This should not be restricted by regulations or to whom regulators feel should be allowed to trade. If it's a public investment, it should be open to the public. I have used inverse and leveraged funds to hedge against the huge market crash on 2020. This kept me from losing a significant amount of money in the market when the rest of my portfolio dropped. I am perfectly capable of understanding how these leveraged and inverse funds work and what their risks are. I do not need regulators to impose rules on me to manage my investments. Please focus regulations on ensuring that the industry does not manipulate the market or defraud the public - not on restricting the public's ability to invest.
