Proposed Rule Change to Adopt FINRA Rule 5280 (Trading Ahead of Research Reports) in the Consolidated FINRA Rulebook

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (“FINRA”) (f/k/a National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (“NASD”)) is filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC” or “Commission”) a proposed rule change to adopt NASD Interpretive Material 2110-4 (Trading Ahead of Research Reports) as a FINRA rule, subject to certain amendments. The proposed rule change would renumber NASD IM-2110-4 as FINRA Rule 5280 in the consolidated FINRA Rulebook.
