You guys need to look into the dark pool, The synthetic shorts, the illegal shorts hedge funds are barrowing and/or taking, the stock manipulation they're doing to both AMC/GME. And certain platforms associated w/ big hedge funds are turning off the "BUY" button with no consequences!!!! This has been going on for years but with these meme stocks it's at an all times high. It
The idea that institutions can sell shorts on a stock without actually owning a stock is absolutely unbelievable. Then add to that the ability to not even have to imitably purchase shares is ludicrous. Oh then scare them with putting them on threshold list that never gets enforced. Also a 48 hour delay to report in today’s worlds is totally inappropriate. Why not at the close of everyday shorts
There are no rules. Why even have all of this? Naked shorting continues, dark pool trading is out of control. EVERYTHING is set up for the institutions and the super rich to get richer, and the retail investor to be left holding a bag. The institutions are allowed to continue to gamble recklessly and get bailed out when it doesn’t go their way. There needs to be real change in the system to be
As one of the biggest regulating bodies within the overseeing of the stock market, Finra should strive to have a way more transparent, thorough and demanding framework for reporting short positions. You admit in your proposal that the extent of which many of these methods are being implemented in the market - are unknown. As the framework stands today, institutions that profit from short selling
The organization doing the shorting should not be the one reporting that it actually shorted or the current amount. Everything in the stock market should be electronic, reported as it happens by automated means, and documented for all to see in a central location. Everything in the stock market could be automated and these "market makers" / hedge funds are taking advantage of the system
Hedge funds must be hold accountable for shorting companies out of business. There should be fair limit of share available for short and time of in which a stock can be shorted. Naked and synthetic shares should be illegal.
To Whom It May Concern - I consider the proposed FINRA restrictions to Leveraged and Inverse funds to be yet another example of the Nanny State coming to the rescue of individuals that the government and their agencies feel the need to protect. I for one am more than capable of understanding the risks of these investment vehicles and want NO restrictions on my investment strategy. L&I
I think it's apparent that you know what's going on here with AMC & Gamestop and many other stocks. I just want my voice to be heard and many others do as well. The short sellers have dug a deep hole for themselves, why are they continuously being helped out? How is it fair? This is supposed to be a fair market place. There should be a limit on how long you have to short a stock
For far too long the stock market has been tilted/manipulated in favor of Wall Street. The issue is naked short selling. Despite being made illegal after the 2008–2009 financial crisis, naked shorting continues to happen because of loopholes in rules and discrepancies between paper and electronic trading systems. More often than you think great companies such as Clover Health. Clover Health was
Regarding the stocks $AMC and $GME: There must be more transparency about short positions. There should be no self reported data from any entity, there must be a third party overseer. The loop holes regarding short positions and failed to deliver shares (FTD’s) need to be closed. These positions should be made to be paid out and the idea that hedge funds can hide positions in OTM positions or
