As a retail investor, I am concerned about the fairness of the current financial system. Having read many theoretical posts on r/Superstonk about the economy and doing my own research, I believe that more regulation on shorting is necessary in order to avoid the unfair devaluation of companies and protect smaller companies from its effects. In particular, more needs to be done about Fail-to-
Thank you FINRA for extending the period for commenting. Also, I thank you for attempting to make the U.S. Equities Market a fairer and safer place for retail investors to do business. This year is the first in which I became a direct participant in the U.S. Stock Market. Before this year I only passively participated though my retirement plan, but this year I proudly became a retail investor.
Hello, I'm sending this comment on behalf of the current situation of short sales being done within the stock market of AMC. As a new investor being affected by the current situation of the manipulation being held within the stock market, specifically AMC, it has been disheartening to see what's being done to the stock market. Please do not restrict my ability to use leverage/inverse stocks. These stocks allow me to leverage my positions without incurring debt and without direct involvement in derivatives. Given the growing market for over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives, such as OTC options on individual equity securities and stock indexes, and the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) recent approval of increases in option position and exercise limits, the NASD reminds
Thanks to the meme stocks community. I have learned so much about the stock market. The Senate Financial Committee investigation into naked short selling found that hedge funds, brokers, and banks were creating 1 billion phantom shares everyday. They recommended an easy method to track all shorted shares. Yet, nothing happened after 13 years, and hedge funds continue to get a slap on the wrist
