I have been investing in inverse and leveraged funds for many years. Sometimes I win and sometimes I lose but whatever happens I am fully aware and fully responsible for the decisions I've made. It is completely wrong for you to try to become the nanny over MY money and tell me what I can and can't do with it. As my children used to tell me, you're not the boss of me!!
I strongly oppose the regulation which would limit my ability to invest in leveraged funds. I believe that the public should have their own choice as to where they can invest their money. Although I know regulations exist for investors safety, I believe that limiting their choices is detrimental. This regulation unfairly punishes investors.
The said investment vehicle is no worse than other penny stocks, which could move either way dramatically. As an investor, I know the reward and risk.
I should be able to choose my own investments. There is plenty of information available for understanding the risks and benefits of leveraged and inverse funds. They are an extremely important tool for hedging other investments. FINRA should not limit my ability to manage my own investments as I see fit. All public investments should be available for anyone to buy, sell or hold.
The prospectus for these is an adequate risk advisement and discloser for leveraged and inverse ETF's. They are a meaningful part of mine and many others investment strategy and I very much oppose restricting their availability. Please do not impose regulation that impedes our access.
Do not understand why I loose my ability to buy leverage and inverse funds.
Me-not regulators- should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
I am sick and tired of government officials trying to protect me from myself. I am fed up with people who think they know what's best for me and want to force it on me regardless of what I think about the matter. The price of freedom is responsibility. I will gladly pay that price. For what is worth I have a finance degree. Have passed securities licensing in a prior career, and
I strongly oppose limits on inverse and leveraged funds. I'm fully capable of understanding how these funds work and can decide for myself if and when they are the right investments for my situation. They are a valuable part of my portfolio.
Leave this alone do not. Idiot proof everything
