I am against any restriction on my ability (opportunity) to participate on an equal basis with other investors. I am an avid reader and an active investor and feel very capable of managing my own affairs. I have worked with money managers and 401K restrictions in the past and found they were limiting and unable to generate the returns I can investing myself. I see no reason to place restrictions
The leverage and reverse ETF is an important tool for retail investors to hedge market risk. While institutions have so many tools to diversify their investment risk, retail investor can only rely on limited choices to offset the market volatility. It is important to make leverage/reverse ETF available to retail investors.
Inverse ETF funds like those offered by Proshares are an important tool to help me self manage my stock portfolio. Rather than sell stocks to achieve a desired risk level, I frequently use inverse ETFs to hedge.
I don't think there should be restrictions on inverse index funds, or funds that are leveraged below 201%
I have been investing in the leverage ETFs for about 10 years with a very good returns. The current Financial regulations sufficiently covers this area & I still want to be able to invest in the leverage ETFs.
I oppose the proposed action by FINRA. Many investors use leveraged products as insurance or hedges to counter market volatility. The proposal is a direct confrontation on my freedom to make my own investment decisions.
I have over 30 years of investment expertise and realize the risks in inverse and leveraged funds. They make up only a small portion of my total portfolio and are used to protect
I am disturbed and appalled to hear that FINRA is planning to prohibit my ability to invest in leveraged and inverse funds. I adamantly oppose to any regulator deciding how I should invest! I am angered by this arrogant and tyrannical effort to restrict how a consumer should invest his/her money. This is a clear and coordinated attack on the retail consumer to place the wealthy at a clear
While I appreciate the motivation of helping investors stay safe, please don't do this. I am not a child. I don't need nor want someone to tell me what is too risky and what is not. I can read and make my own decisions. I also think it's important for people to be able to make meaningful consequential decisions and to face the ramifications and results of those
A investor has every right to be in any investment of their choice. No one is more interested in their investment returns than the person investing. Instead of restrictions in investing educate the investors
1. As a member of the investing public, I should be allowed to choose which investments are suitable for myself and my family.
2. There should be no process by which I'm evaluated to invest in publicly traded securities.
3. Leveraged and inverse funds are important for me to meet my investment goals and invest in opportunities that develop as identified by my own research and analysis.
