I firmly disagree with the idea that my investments can be limited or controlled by regulators. It is my sole decision to invest in projects I believe in. Attempting to limit my choices via regulation that would eliminate my ability to invest as I see fit is a fools errand.
I am a small investor who has good success investing a portion of my portfolio in leveraged ETF funds and would not want to see the sale of these products restricted. In fact, I've recommended them to my adult children for their IRA's because they are stable and outperform the market.
Please don't add further restrictions on these already highly regulated products.
Please don't limit our freedom to invest the way we want. Please leave every investment vehicles available for us!
I not regulators should be able to choose the public
investments that are right for me and my family.
Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
I shouldn't have to go through any special process
like passing a test before I can invest in public securities,
like leveraged and inverse funds. I am
capable of understanding
I have invested in leveraged funds for the past several years. I have lost money and I have made money. Same is true in the broader stock market.
My ability to invest in securities should not be regulated. The focus should be on regulating the providers of these funds to make sure they disclose all the information required for me to make sound decisions.
This is special interest lobbying to keep the little guy down. Do not want.
By restricting access to investment strategies that are readily available to wealthy investors through OTC products, FINRA would only be widening the wealth gap between the 1% and the 99%.
Education and not regulation is the answer!
It does not make any sense to try and make it harder for the common man to invest in the very vehicles designed for them in the first place. An ETF was originally made by Morningstar to make it so anyone could invest without having to have extensive knowledge or even actually knowing about investing. And now you want to undermine this? This tactic is nefarious and you all should be ashamed. Maybe
This rule is [REDACTED], and something that should never happen in a free market society.
Doing this would cause massive shareholder panic and possibly liquidate my investment. The market is based on perception today, and a fund that is difficult to buy into is one that will be avoided. All investors should have the right to chose any vehicle they like with the fair market place.
