I feel that stopping the general public from obtaining the same possibilities allowed to those that are currently considered captains of industry is atrocious. It feels like the haves and the have not all over again while the government helps them suppress the potential of the common man in the name of government regulation. I am retired. I have been saving/investing consistently over the greater portion of my life. I have "various saving/investing buckets" of diversified monies/funds... conservative, moderate, aggressive, et al. My savings/investments are calculated/weighted with consideration to both the upside and downside potentials over a "longer-term-rather-than-shorter-term"
To whom it may concern. I am writing in regards to the proposed restrictions on certain investment vehicles. My position is let the free markets decide which type of investment are marketable and of interest to the investment community. Politicians are not in a good position to make these decisions. There are already many safeguards in place to ensure educated investors are appropriately
I began investing in a Inverse S&P fund an have taken massive hits to my assets that I have spent 20 years saving, you do not have the right to stop this at your will. I will file a lawsuit if this stops when it is beneficial for me and my family.
Will I be paid for the loss I incurred buying leveraged and inverse funds 10 years?
I oppose these rules and feel they are completely unnecessary.
Please do not do anything to restrict investments! It's the American way to allow us to make a choice and reap the benefits or suffer the consequences.
We DO NOT need big government trying to make the world "safe" for us.
I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.

like passing a test before you can invest in public securities,
like leveraged and inverse funds. I am fully capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds
We do not need more government regulations, especially ones that limit the little guys ability to trade affordably
markets go up and markets go down. i have invested a good amount of money feeling that because of bull and bear market history that we are due for for a bear market. it probably would have happened by now if not for covid and all the money printing the fed has done. i am in the red because of that
