In a fair and free market there should be absolute transparency. The number of shares shorted should be available in real time during trading hours. No more dark pool trading. Every single share sold should be reported and able to be located at any time. Market manipulation is rampant and hurting retail investors. Get rid of algo trading back and forth. Naked shorting and FTDs should carry
If the market is too difficult for small investors then why do big investment companies lose money? For example, the ARK funds. Are the instruments too complicated for them? The real problem is you tie the hands of small investors to make it difficult for them to make money in the market. You allow big firms to trade in black markets and then announce their trades after the fact.

On February 26, 1993, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved amendments to Schedule D that require members to append a fifth-character location indicator to their market-maker identification symbol (MMID) in securities that are traded at a location away from the primary
Restricting purchasing/selling of inverted or leveraged ETFs is pretty much equal to stoping regular people from the opportunity to earn income in stock trading. Leaving this privilage to only "professionals" or traders with huge capital will hugely increase the gap between rich and poor and will make poor suffer more.

Comments: do it like a tax cut. Disallow the wealthy, the rich with more than $100,000 in their account to trade in these funds. Pay Peter to pay Paul. Allow the commoner and lower income investors to trade in these funds so that they can make some money. Life is just not fair no matter how you look at it rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
Leveraged long and inverse ETFs are a material component in my trading strategies. They are a proven alternative to options, which so often expire worthless. Please do not impose any burdens on our ability to continue trading these securities. The brokerage warnings are more than sufficient to ward off investors that don't understand or appreciate contango/backwardness, leverage risk, etc.
I have been investing in leveraged ETFs for over 8 years and fully understand the risks associated. I have traded both the long and short versions. I have both lost money and made money. I believe that all investors should have access and the ability to trade in these. The freedom to choose investments that could
help you achieve long-term financial security is extremely important.
It is our rights to buy or sell all the public traded funds. Every stock or fund traded publicly has its risks and we understand it well. We as small investors shouldn't be discriminated by this restrictions. We need the freedom to decide which stocks or funds we want to buy as they are very important tools to achieve our long-term financial goals.
Banning these trades would make no sense. What is the difference between this and micro stocks? Or putting all of your portfolio into a weekly option. Any stock can go to zero. Everything has risk and reward. And the timing behind this when they are in a downdraw like thr entire market is ludicrous. If you ban this you need to ban all stock trading.
I am an engineer and has strong understanding of the characteristics and risks of L&I Funds, and that their purpose is for short-term active trading. I never invest in these funds for longer term. I can say there is nothing complex to understand how L&I funds work. America is a country of equal opportunities so equal trading rights should be given to retail investors as well as
