I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for ME and MY family.
Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. I am educated, and responsible, well aware of risks.
I shouldn't have to go through any special processlike passing a test before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds
Leveraged and inverse funds are an important of investing for everyday Americans as well as for the privileged. On this May 5th sell off day...a tv talking blamed leveraged funds in part, but the day before had a very large gain and no credit was given to them at all. And if they do cancel these instruments will retail still get blamed for the sell off? Yes...that is what they call us. What we
To: FINRA Regulators, Kind Regards. I have been trading ETNs, leveraged securities, futures, puts and calls etc. since 1985. I understand the works and functions of these somewhat complex trading methods. I started with about $10,000.00 and now have multiple trading accounts approximately in excess of $2,000,000.00 I respectfully request that you do not take away my rights to buy and sell listed
We are in the dawn of the empowered, intelligent investor and these restrictions are a clear step backwards in empowering the individual to make choices for their own financial well-being.
Leveraged funds have allowed me to seek enhanced returns without the need for obtaining further credit. This was incredibly helpful when I was younger and had less ability to obtain credit lines for this
I am writing to express my concern about the potential regulations being considered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). If these regulations are enacted, it would restrict my ability to invest in leveraged and inverse funds, as well as many other popular investment vehicles that are deemed to be complex. I am a college student who is interested in investing in leveraged and
I oppose any regulations that restrict my right to invest how and when I wish. When I invest my own money- I should have the right to choose any public investment that I deem appropriate, regardless of my net worth. I should not have to be submitted to any special processes to access public securities such as leveraged and inverse funds. I am an educated individual and perfectly capable of
Limiting the options for individuals to invest in public investments, which any sort of investment, whether its a security, ETF, CD, stock, fund, note, trust, etc, whether its complex, or not is not justified. Simple investments would still have a risk, irregardless of banning and limiting certain individuals to be involved in any sort of investments.
Any sort of investment, simple, or complex
This year, as as well as the year 2001, have shown us that stocks (primarily tech heavy stocks) can be hit especially hard with losses. Therefore, everyone who invests should be aware that huge losses can occur and it should be considered a gamble. This is especially true for leveraged and inverse funds. But for the person that has a disciplined approach, large gains can also be achieved. If in
Please don't add additional burdens on investors to invest in products like inverse or leveraged funds. I use these in my own investment strategies and are excellent choices. It removes the need for trading on margin which is important for IRAs. These choices should be available for all investors, not just wealthy people or the so called sophisticated investor. Removing these options
I am not sure what the concern is with respect to these type of investments. I appreciate that they exist so I can take a bet that values will fall (inverse funds) and take a leveraged bet so as not to tie up too much of my money with the bet or hedge as the case may be. I believe the disclosures are adequate. I appreciate that you might be well intentioned with this approach, but I wonder how
