The FINRA Board of Governors is holding its third meeting of the year this week.
Thank you very much—it's great to be here. I'd also like to thank President Rebecca Laird, and also Leslie Woolley, Chair of the Luncheon Committee, for the gracious invitation to meet with you. There is so much going on in our markets that it's hard to know what to talk about.
Mr. Chairman and Members of the Committee: NASD is grateful to the Committee for inviting us to testify about NASD's work to protect senior investors and for allowing us to submit this statement for the record.
FINRA has developed a secure electronic portal to replace email as the primary method for the filing and service of documents in Office of Hearing Officers (OHO) proceedings. These amendments modernize service and filing processes in a manner that will protect investors and the public interest by promoting efficiency while preserving fair process in OHO proceedings. The amendments become effective on October 7, 2025.
