While you may disguise removing the right to trade leverage and inverse funds as a way to help the retail investor, we both know thats not the truth. The average person does not have the resources to qualify under the proposed restrictions to trade these securities. Look out for the people, not the elite.
I do not believe I should be restricted from buying leveraged funds. In my opinion if you were going to have exposure to the market in the form of an index fund or ETF why would you not be leveraged. Long term you can make 2 to 3 times the amount of money on your investment portfolio for retirement. For example my brother in law owns QQQ and in my opinion it is foolish not to own TQQQ. Over the

before my broker would allow me to trade leveraged ETF's, I had to take a class and sign a risk disclosure form. this is more than sufficient to let me know about the risks associated with these types of investments. I should have the choice of what type of investments I own, not a government bureaucrat.

I utilize proshares solutions to help my own accounts, my family's accounts, and my clients accounts. It allows for cheaper ways to help hedge to take advantage of markets and I am well aware of the dangers since proshares prospectuses are so good! This is not a segment of the market we should be going after. Leveraged and inverse funds have provided us solutions to HELP
