Joseph J. Sheirer

Joseph J. Sheirer is Senior Vice President of Corporate Financing & Advertising Regulation and in this role leads teams focused on rules, guidance and reviews relating to public offerings, private placements and communications with the public. Mr. Sheirer also serves as FINRA’s observing representative on the SEC Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee.

Mr. Sheirer has served in numerous other roles at FINRA, including Vice President in FINRA’s National Examination program, Regional Director of FINRA’s North Region, Senior Director & Counsel of the Membership Application Program group, and Director of Continuing Education. Prior to joining FINRA in 2007, Mr. Sheirer spent eight years in the Division of Member Firm Regulation at the New York Stock Exchange.

Mr. Sheirer is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and Drew University and is a member of the bar in New York and New Jersey.
