Export Your Data the Way You Want It
We know from talking to customers that data portability is important. They know the data they want and how they want to get it. They just need a way how. That is why we have created an option for customers to export multiple tables of data using the FINRA Gateway Reports Export Tool.
Accessing the Export Tool
Access the Export tool by opening a Template or Custom Report within FINRA Gateway Reports and clicking on the Export tool.
Quick Export
Use Quick Export to export the main table to a zip archive containing a CSV file. Quick Export is selected by default, so you don’t need to change any settings. Your file export will include a single CSV file of the columns and rows contained in the main table. No data from subtables will be included.
Advanced Export
Use Advanced Export when you want to include a subtable along with the main table. Click the radio button next to Advanced Export to choose this option.
From Advanced Export, choose which way you want to structure your download.
Single File
Use the Export as a single file option when you want to export the table plus one subtable in a single CSV file within a zip archive. This option is selected by default. When this option is selected, you will only be able to choose one subtable to include in your export. Once you choose one subtable, the other subtables will be deactivated. Click the Export button when you have made your selections. Your zip archive download will contain a single CSV file that has data from the main table and the subtable you chose within a single row.
Separate Files
Use the Export as separate files option when you want to export the main table and more than one additional subtable in a single export. Select this option by clicking the radio button next to it. You will be able to choose as many subtables as are available in the template to export. Click the Export button when you have made your selections. The zip archive will contain multiple CSV files, one for the main table and one additional for each subtable you selected to include in your export.
