Extended Hours TRF Test Facility Availability & Weekend UATs
FINRA is publishing this Technical Notice to announce that the test facilities of the FINRA/Exchange Trade Reporting Facilities1 (TRFs) are now available for testing extended hours trade reporting. Additionally, in coordination with the CTA and UTP Securities Information Processors (SIPs), the TRFs will be supporting weekend User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The first test is scheduled to begin at 11:00 p.m. ET on Friday, October 2, 2026, and conclude at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
As previously announced in FINRA’s May 22, 2026 Technical Notice, FINRA’s TRFs will be extending their operating hours starting December 6, 2026, such that the TRFs will operate from 9:00 p.m. ET on Sunday through 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday, excluding holidays, with a one-hour pause from 8:00 p.m. ET to 9:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday.
Weekend Testing Opportunities for extended hours are as follows:
- Test 1: Friday, October 2, 2026
- Test 2: Friday, October 16, 2026
- Test 3: Friday, October 30, 2026
- Test 4: Friday, November 6, 2026
- Test 5: Friday November 20, 2026
- Test 6: Friday December 4, 2026

Member firms that wish to test are encouraged to reach out to their respective equity trade reporting facilities to register for testing, as follows:

1 FINRA’s Trade Reporting Facilities are the FINRA/NYSE TRF, the FINRA/Nasdaq TRF Carteret and the FINRA/Nasdaq TRF Chicago. FINRA’s Alternative Display Facility (ADF), which is also a trade reporting facility for the purpose of reporting Over-The-Counter (OTC) trades in NMS stocks, will not be adjusting its operating hours at this time.
