Deborah Straus Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

As an adult who has invested for decades, Im well aware of the pitfalls and benefits of investing in leveraged funds. Limiting these funds to only high net worth individuals is further assuring that only high net worth individuals can prosper in the investment world. Havent poorer people been kicked to the curb and prevented from prospering long enough? Havent regulators presumed that poorer people are stupid people long enough? Do not take away the right of adults to invest as they please.

Please do not eliminate the ability to use leveraged and inverse ETF's to only high net worth individuals. Everyone should have the ability to choose whether they think these products are appropriate for themselves or not. There is already plenty of warning from the brokers regarding the potential dangers of these ETF's. Limiting these products to only to high net worth individuals makes no sense. People with lots of money aren't inherently "better or wiser" investors. You are just locking a segment of the population out from these products based on pure elitism.

This is not the 1940s Papa, education, and information are very accessible. Connections are made faster and with more abundance than ever before. It is absolutely insane that I even have to write this when I can drive 30 minutes to a casino and gamble every dollar away. The hypocrisy is legendary and once again it's 2022 we can see through all the non-sense. If investments are the way every millionaire/billionaire got to where they are why are you holding the majority of the population back from this?
