I strongly oppose restrictions on my right to invest in public investments. I should be able to choose the public investments that meet my investing goals without going through any special process or seeking someone's permission. I understand the risks of leveraged and inverse funds. Leveraged funds are an important strategy in enhancing my returns.
Inverse funds are important to my investment strategy.
Please do not limit our choices in what is supposed to be a free market.
You said it all in this notice.
Please do not limit my ability or the ability of other investors to be able to hedge our portfolios in down markets.
I use inverse leveraged funds as a hedging tool, as a type of insurance if my long investments suffer a large loss. These leveraged funds would then partially offset my loss in my main investments.
I don't think I agree that there should be restrictions on these or other investments as I think this would be a restriction on the freedom which most Americans cherish. I'm not at all sure why regulators think they have the right to take away some of these freedoms.
While regulation and consumer protections are necessary, appropriate and worthwhile, this proposal adds hurdles incongruous with the risks involved.
Please make no restrictions to my lawful market activities. I am responsible for and capable of managing my own financial risks. The leveraged investment activities are of my choice.
I don't agree with your newly proposed rules. I've been investing in leveraged funds for 7 years and I don't want you to impose new rules over them.
