I have enjoyed my ability to invest in leveraged and inverse funds and would like to continue to do so.
Hello, I would like to be able to continue leverage and trade the funds that I'm interested in including inverse funds. I've been able to help supplement some of my income with volatility-linked funds. It is a mistake to take these away.
I understand you are considering limiting access to leveraged/inverse funds. I have used these for several years to hedge my investments and/or increase my returns with small purchases. There are already many investment vehicles that are only available to the wealthy. We need to have all investments available to as many people as possible so that everyone can get ahead - without having to pass some test or net worth calculation. I implore you not to restrict access to these funds.
Please allow us to continue to buy leveraged investments. The hedge funds are allowed to make such investments. You would be creating a two-class society if you made such a rule. I love leveraged funds as they make investing easy. I can hold cash and place a portion of my funds in leveraged securities.
I do not believe that regulation should restrict the buying and selling of leveraged equities and etf's. It is made completely clear the risks involved in these when they are purchased and we acknowledge those risks prior to the sale. All equities, stocks and other such items are a risk. We are adults and do not need legislation controlling where and how we invest our money.
Leave leveraged ETF along its a risk and that is what the markets have always been about
Investors are already aware of the risk that these funds bring. Why limit access? If the goal is to prevent people from not understanding the consequences of their actions, create a warning that brokers must display before purchasing these kinds of investments - don't limit investors from access to funds we love!
Hello -
Im aware of the risks associated with investing in these kind of funds. No need to big brother me. Find something else to do.
People don't like paternalistic treatment. Putting a warning, link to educational material etc might be beneficial. But preventing everyone from the judicial use of these ETFs in their hedging is over reach
