Alan Huey Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

Regulators should not be involved in the decision of what I can invest in and what I can't invest in. It is not the job of ANY government agency to determine what I do with my hard earned money. There should not be any "special process" that I must follow, such as passing a test, before I can make my own investment choice.
I do not want or need these or any other government measures imposed on me.
The thought that a government agency should be able to dictate whether I am competent enough to make my own decisions is completely ludicrous!

Gersman Gersman Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I am a self-directed and self-educated investor who got a late start building wealth due to many years of school. The use of leveraged ETFs has helped me and my family to build significant wealth, especially coming out of the pandemic, and has helped me become closer to financial security. It is no understatement to say that leveraged ETFs have taken a huge burden off my shoulders. I am aware of the risks of these types of investments and have learned the appropriate times to buy, or to sell the profits.

Neal Davis Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

Inverse and leveraged etf's allow average investors to utilize options (calls or puts) in a simple and straight forward way (simple buy or sell orders). Option strategies can be quite complicated, even in their simplest forms, and prevent average retail investors from participating in these very important market-moving investments. Levereged and inverse etf's remove the time-consuming complexities allowing the average retail investor to participate in market movements that would otherwise be dominated and controlled by professional traders and hedge fund managers.

Gunnar Nyberg Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

It's very important to me that I have the ability to hedge against big swings in the market. I use the leverages and inversed funds to be able to limit my risk.
I have extensive experience in this field and it should be up to me, and me only, how I invest my money.
Why would people be able to invest in crypto if not in leveraged funds.
What's next? Will the government tell me if I can buy expensive cars or not?

Darren Griffith Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I use leveraged ETFs as a part of my portfolio. I have spent a lot of time understanding the behavior and increased volatility of these funds. I think it's important that I have access to the same securities as any privileged investors in order to have access to the same kinds of returns on my portfolio. I understand that different investments have different risks. I prefer the risks of leveraged and inverse ETFs to the risks of trading on margin and short selling. I do not think access to these securities should be limited.

Michael Canell Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

Please don't add additional burdens on investors to invest in products like inverse or leveraged funds. I use these in my own investment strategies and are excellent choices. It removes the need for trading on margin which is important for IRAs. These choices should be available for all investors, not just wealthy people or the so called sophisticated investor. Removing these options will only hurt investors options by not allowing them access to newly created products. All investments have risk.
