No nanny state, do not limit my rights to invest the way I want to!! E. Burley
Protect my choice to decide what public investments are right for me. Having traded options for decades I am experienced and knowledgeable about understanding electronic traded funds. They are part of my own investment strategy and I make my own decisions. It's not complicated for me and I don't need new restrictions to make it more difficult.
I oppose any and all restrictions on my right to invest in public investments including leveraged and inverse funds.
Leveraged ETFs can be a key part of an investors asset allocation. They allow educated younger investors, such as myself, access to margin in a safe way. When used responsibly in conjunction with an age appropriate asset allocation, they can boost risk adjusted returns. I have seen no evidence they are being abused and think it would be wrong to limit their access.
I am a long term, experienced investor and have been involved in many different trading types and styles. I understand the risks involved in leveraged trading and inverse funds and therefore reserve the right to continue to trade these.
I some times use leveraged funds when I can see that a market is heading in a particular direction to help boost my portfolio and very rarely have more than one leveraged fund as a position at the same time.
I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies. I have used leveraged funds as part of my investment strategy for years. Mostly used with indexes and commodities. My most recent leveraged investment is with SDS, which is up about 20% in the last month. I am out of this fund now but suspect this fund will help save my retirement account when the market tanks later this year.

Re: Proposed changes to Options and Inverse Funds
Leveraged and invers funds are an important investment strategy for me and I really would prefer not to go to a special process before I can invest in these securities.
The US should be a free market and remain as such!

The SEC has allowed for cryptocurrency futures like BITO to be created. I know the risks. Please let me trade as I see fit with my investment capital. Its a free market.
