Pls allow investments
I want to be allowed to make my own financial decisions unrestrained by govt controls. Levereaged and inverse funds are useful and important parts of my investement strategy
There are worse investments in the IPO world that really should be more regulated . The IPO's are a lot more risky that the majority of Leveraged and inverse funds. No one seems to care on the pump and dumps that happen every week! They are a lot more dangerous that the Leveraged and inverse ETF's !
I completely disagree with the notion to take away people's rights to invest in products that level the playing field, make them money in good markets, and hedge their risk in poor markets. The stock market is a marketplace for everyone and people should continue to keep their rights to invest in what they want to in the public markets, without greater regulatory scrutiny. Thank you.
I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for you and your family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
Please allow me to trade leveraged stocks and etfs like SQQQ and TQQQ. Without extra regulations!
Thank you
Thank you for the opportunity to comment. Im retired. Im a former CPA and have studied investments for many years. Between managed funds with high fees and questionable performance, I prefer to manage my own portfolio and other investments.
I currently hold two leveraged investments. One a mutual fund and one is an ETF. They represent a very small part of my equity holdings. Their performance has been exceptional but because of inherent volatility I choose to limit exposure.
My freedom to invest would be denigrated if the proposed regulations are implemented.
Do not limit my freedom to manage my own asset. Broker house has done due diligent to inform me about the risk. That is enough!
It is incumbent upon me to voice my objection to the consideration by FINRA to restrict my ability to invest in public securities and their risks without first demonstrating my understanding or abilities to a governmental agency. As part of my financial portfolio, investing in leveraged and reverse funds allows me to take part in the great American dream of developing wealth. It is important to my investment strategy to do so without governmental limitations or restrictions.
