Please why can't investors make their own decisions
The people not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for you and your family. Public investments should be available to all of the public.
Leveraged and Inverse funds are important investment strategies to head against. Such investments should be available to the general public like me who are not privileged - we don't need tests to understand leveraged / inverse funds and the risks they entail. Do not make regulations that only benefit the super rich - give equal opportunity to everyone.
individual investors should have the same right and equal opportunity to use the investment vehicle.
I want my inverse funds
You are closing the door to financial equity for smaller investors. Cutting the wealth ladder below you so that none may climb it in the manner that you and those before you were allowed.
let me decide what is best for me
I oppose any regulations that restrict my right to invest how and when I wish. When I invest my own money- I should have the right to choose any public investment that I deem appropriate, regardless of my net worth. I should not have to be submitted to any special processes to access public securities such as leveraged and inverse funds. I am an educated individual and perfectly capable of understanding the types of investments I am choosing and their associated risks.
I wish to express my opposition to considerations by FINRA to restrict rights to invest in leveraged and/or inverse funds and other investments considered to be "complex".
With over 30 years of investing experience and formal credentialing (CFP), I consider myself fully capable of understanding the risks of investing in such funds.
Leveraged and inverse funds are an extremely important element of my personal investing strategy. Rather than a risk, these investments provide me a critical tool to REDUCE my risk to market volatility.
