This is a terrible rule. Lets have less regulation rather than you power hungry regulators doing everything you can to prevent regular people from investing.
I ,not regulators , should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I do not need these measures imposed on me. Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies.
With the volatility of markets and exposure that my portfolio has, I believe everyone should have access to leveraged investments.
Using inverse funds is a critical part of an investment strategy and in down markets one of the better strategies to still be able to get a positive return. I highly encourage you to not put limitations on this investment vehicle.
I want to be able to choose what investments are right for me without having to go through any special process or meeting certain criteria. I use leveraged and inverse funds as a limited part of my portfolio to seek enhanced returns. They should not be limited to the ultra wealthy.
The use of complex products is required in a complex investing climate. Do not limit their use.
Investors should be allowed access to leveraged and inverse products. I've been extremely successful with them and find them a better choice than using options.
No politician should vote to restrict our choices of personal investment especially given the track record of politicians using material non-public information with regularity for years. Politicians did not have the ethical standards to make it illegal all those years, I see no reason why they should try to restrict inverse products in front of a potential recession and stock market drop. I'm sure they will be excluded from these restrictions and the imbalance it will likely cause. This is pretty outrageous.
This would be incredibly unfair and certainly not in line with our constitutional rights. We aren't in grade school and if we work and earn our OWN money then we should have a protected right to invest it any way we feel is best for us.
