People should be free to make their own mistakes!

To whom it may concern, not sure why Im receiving this but I should be able to buy whatever I want with my money. I have been following the market for 20 years Not sure what the problem is but I control what I buy and sell. I understand leveraged funds and risks. This is very important for individuals to buy and sell. This is the stock market right? I use these to hedge my investments. Please dont regulate me.

Comments: This isn't how you "protrct" investors. This is only going to further the point market cynics make that you're rigging the game in favor of the rich and Wall Street. Focus on education and guidance by brokers instead of just walling off a market segment. The proposed rule is nothing short of government overreach. This is not how a "free market" works.

Comments: The Brokerage firm clearly stated the risk associated with the leveraged ETF and the warning before the trade that the risk is understood and also the Risks associated with the ETF which could amplify gains or losses and the intended use for short term as well as the long term returns will not match the underlying index performance.
May be adding real performance example during recent extreme volatile market of Mar 2020 may help some investors. I believe these products should not be restricted.

The leveraged inverse ETFs are the critical portfolio hedging tools in my IRA account. Because IRA account doesn't allow to trade options and futures instruments, the leveraged inverse funds are the only hedging strategy in the down-trend market.
I really need to access these financial products to manage my retirement funds.

I currently invest in BITO to diversify my portfolio risk so that I'm not too concentrated in any one asset class. Taking away this ability would only hurt me and countless others.

Investing should be a level playing field for everybody. Requiring certain account balance thresholds is completely unfair.

I- not regulators- should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. I am extremely capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I do not need to go thru any special process to do this. Leveraged and inverse funds are an important part of my overall investment strategy.

Way to much government and the loss of rights of privacy.

Limiting access to public investments will limit our ability to navigate complicated financial markets exacerbated by Federal Reserve policy. When all investments are going the same direction for extended periods of time an inverse fund is the safest way to hedge. These tools need to be available to everyone and not just an elite educated class.
