Please allow investment in complex products by individual investors!
I strongly support this guidance. Hold brokers accountable for full disclosure of the properties and risks of complex investment products.
I am a financially literate investor that uses leveraged ETFs as part of a diversified portfolio. Sweeping restrictions of financial instruments create unnecessary barriers of entry for investors seeking to increase market exposure. I believe regulation similar to options is acceptable as leveraged funds are inherently riskier than non-leveraged. However, a properly educated investor who understands the inherent risk of these products deserves to have the ability to utilize them.
I am opposing regulators to limit my ability to invest in leverage and inverse funds.
I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities,
like leveraged and inverse funds. Public investments should be available to me, small investors, and all of the public - not just the privileged / institutional investors.
Comments:As an American, I cherish my rights to make decisions for or against my well being. I do not appreciate the Big Brother controls on so many institutions and consider such the erosion of my freedom. Thank you.
FINRA has no business telling investors where they can/should invest including leveraged and inverse funds
This greatly restricts our freedom to invest and to try and reach financial independence. Also, seems ridiculous to do this when people already have funds tied up in these investment vessels.
Comments: do not remove leverage bad idea .
