I am an experienced investor and I think leveraged ETFs are powerful tools for my investment. It will hurt my investing strategy if they are banned.
Your mission is to protect the investor from scams in the industry, not to influence their investment decisions either directly or indirectly in ANY WAY, no matter how well-intentioned it may appear. We 'retail investors' are perfectly capable of understanding the basics of how a leveraged ETF works and how much risk it carries. Any further regulation on them would severely affect the investment strategy that I've been using for years to hedge my positions with these so called "complex" products.
Hello, I am very concerned about your proposed regulations on investing. As I am an adult and a head of household spending my money, I should have the final say on how I invest it. I fully understand the risks of investing and don't need to be tested on the subject. I do not need a cooling off period, because i research investments, and I certainly don't need someone's permission to spend my own money. If you impose regulations like the draconian ones that seem to be, you will be limiting the chance for prosperity for millions of investors who are not wealthy but are solvent.
I would like to freely be able to invest my hard working earned money in any trust that I find suitable to my and my familys future. If Im taking a risk I would like to be the responsible person to be able judge my actions based on that without the interference of any other entities dictating to me where to invest.

Dear FINRA, LETFs are not "complex" products. They are very simple to use. I can simply buy them to introduce modest amount of leverage to my diversified and safe portfolio. LETFs allow me to easily adjust the risk and reward levels in my portfolio. They are SIMPLE instruments. Simplest form of leverage, and the wildest of them are only 3x leveraged. How dare you take away my freedom and not allow me hold these as long as I will? I come from a poor country and maybe I will never have a 1st world citizen net worth.
To whom it may concern, I strongly oppose any potential restrictions on my ability to purchase leveraged instruments. This would be another way for the large institutions to use investment vehicles for their advantage at the expense of the smaller investor like me and put us on unequal playing ground. I do not use them as a large part of my portfolio, but use them for hedging or taking advantage of optimal market conditions. Please do not impose special tests for these instruments. At the most, they should be similar to those for options trading.
Please dont prohibit leveraged investments from average investor portfolios although limiting the percentage of investments to under 25% could protect uninformed investors from them selves. Late next year these investments should outperform the market and average investors should have access to these great opportunities.
Please do NOT restrict the use of leveraged ETFs in ANY way. Just this proposal is outrageous: You think only rich and privileged people understand risk? How condescending is that? Leveraged ETFs are the only way for middle class investors to have a decent shot of moving out of the middle class as we aim to become financially independent. Almost all retail investors understand the risk and volatility involved in these ETFs; we still want to invest in these leveraged products (especially leveraged bull market products) only because this is our only chance to become financially independent.
