We the people should have to right to invest in whatever we please. It is not the job of the government to guide where our personal money is spent
Leveraged investments should be available to all members of the public, not just the privileged. It is not the job of the government to determine what risk an investor can or cannot take. Keep big government out of my portfolio.
I'm a retail investor who understands the risks of leveraged ETFs. They are a important part of my investment strategy and I am strongly opposed to restrictions that would hinder my ability to use them.
'Complex investments' seems awful arbitrary. Regulators should regulate with a scalpel not a chainsaw without definition. The lack of transparency is disturbing.
It's interesting that these 'complex' investments existed all during the 2009-2022 melt-up bull market and didn't appear to be a concern. Now markets are topping,... reversing,... and the very tools a knowledgeable investor needs to meet the new challenges falls under scrutiny by regulators.
How about we offer this test to students in Highschool as a term test. Public really should have the same access as you.
This is an unAmerican and classist proposal. All Americans should have the freedom to invest as they see fit, not just the privileged alredy wealthy few. A test is ludicrous. Do not impose this regulation on the backs of the American public.
