In brokerage accounts such as TD Ameritrade, we are free to trade stocks and financial instruments such as leveraged and inverse funds without any pressures of dealing with an actual broker. There is no solicitation or advertising on these sites that points us to any particular fund or stock. Please don't restrict this freedom.
I am writing to request that leveraged and inverse finds remain open to average investors. These products do have their own risks and my broker places several warnings before I can make a trade in an inverse or leveraged product. These are meant for short term and day trading only and there are many warnings that they are not intended for long term and you can lose everything if you do. I think
I oppose limits on investing in leveraged instruments. I do so on both the long and short side, and also use options. I understand the risks and limits. If you impair these instruments you will be impairing my ability to generate extra income while hedging long exposure to my portfolio and economic risks (e.g., selling cash covered puts on short ETFs). Please stop impairing open investing, and
A transparent and accountable market should be the lowest bar. This seems like a minimal step forward, particularly on a higher frequency and timely reporting, expanded information on account level positions, threshold securities, and ownership of synthetic shares. Please do more than consider these enhancements. I had no idea that there was financing available to cover shorts - this seems
Hello FINRA I'm a simple and uneducated ape, I'm fairly new to the market. I have seen verified data that shows companies (such as Melvin Capital and Citadel) funding media outlets to reinforce their short positions on a nearly perfect cyclical basis, I have seen people on social media paid for directly by such companies, and even worse I have companies ravage through money that wasn
I'm afraid these changes do not go nearly far enough. When will you people do your jobs big hedges like citadel have been manipulating stocks since the 90’s why is this still being aloud? They didn’t get this big buy playing buy the rules. Do you people even watch the tickets? If you did you would see it. So obviously being manipulated. Explain to me how one company can have stellar news and stock moves down and stocks with no news or bad news
These rule changes are long overdue - public faith in equity markets represent a vital economic and strategic strength of the US and our position in global finance. There will be specific firms that lobby to oppose these rules for their own selfish near term purposes - but they are ultimately short sighted and against the public interest. Tens of millions of Americans rely on equity markets now
Thank you for expressing your concern on the matter. It is truly disheartening reading the available information and watch the market entirely disregard such within some securities. Also concerning is “entities” such as Iceberg research Twitter handle and their proclamation to the world which was broadcast through news outlets shortly after being tweeted. Many individuals observed and confirmed
