I am extremely upset at the regulation surrounding short selling and the subsequent naked short selling. Firstly that a stock can be sold without having actual ownership is asinine, let alone not really regulated. I actually think short selling should be illegal as it is similar to stealing and adds unknowable liquidity to the market, diluting the shareholder market and making true price
Why does a " dark " pool exist? We demand fairness and transparency in the stock market. How can we prevent " naked shorts " / synthetic shares? Why is there T + 2 when the market makers can see our trades instantly? This is NOT fair. There are RAMPANT FRAUD AND MANIPULATION.
I think the SI data should be reported daily to FINRA. FTD recover period should be reduced to T+2 and if not obeyed a 500% of the position should be fined to the accountable. Naked shorts should be reduced to a minimum, and ALL data should be accessible to the public, at the end of every market day.
Transparency in the market and frequent monitoring of naked shorting. Start enforcing the rules we already have and the fines need to be steep enough to incentivize the Hedge Funds and other large investors to stop with the illegal activity. The fines need to be in the millions to get the point across.thank you Sumita
End Naked Short selling. The market manipulation behind stocks such as $AMC and $GME is so blatant at this point, that the entire world is watching. It is embarrassing as an American citizen to see nothing being done about this. Especially after the 2008 market crash. We have to put an end to this.
The markets are rigged to the point where a retail investor can no longer rely on them. Between the abusive naked short selling and failures to deliver, it is nearly impossible for retail to get ahead in life. It is illegal for casinos to cheat, so why should market makers be allowed? Please end these practices.
I would like to see you actually enforce your rules. Not reminders, a actual punishment. Also not a "yeah we saw you steal 700 mil so we're just going fine you 70 mil and you can be on your way." No all of it. Everything that was taken, taken back. From what I have seen you don't enforce ur SSR rule, Threshold list rules, naked shorting rules, payment for order flow rules ect
They only thing that's preventing amc from going higher and squeezing is the dark pool and the corrupt hedge funds shorting the stock. As an investor, I only ask for a fair market for me and the other I vectors regardless what stock it is. For amc, this is a once In A lifetime opportunity for people to really believe they have a chance to make really good money and have a voice. 99% apes pr
Short selling of stocks, payment for order flow (PFOF) and Dark Pool trading should be banned completely. Shorting was banned by the SEC during the 2008 financial crisis and it has been banned in several markets worldwide. Shorting has caused promising companies to disappear due to naked shorting, manipulation and corruption that is rampant and obvious with no rule or law enforcement. Full
Naked shorting is an extremely damaging practice that shouldn't be utilized in the markets. With it's widespread use, a stock is not sure to be valued correctly. As a result companies that may be beneficial are forced to shut down, lowers investor's returns illegally and undermines people's faith in the market. Regulatory agencies need to prevent these practices.
