It is my right to be able to choose the public investments. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. I shouldn't have to go through any special process before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I was a licensed stockbroker for 30 years, and I have found that most people are capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. The CFPB and other regulators do not need to impose additional measures on the brokers or on me.
I strongly oppose any limitations on my ability to buy any of the PRO SHARES funds. This should be my choice not the regulators choice. Please do not go forward with any regulations that would limit our investment choices here.
I oppose this new rule. Please do not limit individual investors' access to "leveraged and complex products"
Please do not make changes to my ability to invest in instruments like QQQ, TQQQ, and SQQQ.
These strategies are very useful. It's wonderful to be able to use them as an ordinary investor, instead of having these instruments be available only to institutions.
I understand how the securities work and have never had a problem using them. I don't need to be "protected" by making them unavailable to individual investors like me.
Thank you for listening.
I oppose FINRA's proposed rule #22-08. My ability to invest the finances of my family should not be left up to the discretion of government or regulators. The ability to invest in public securities should not be withheld from the general public not should we be required to pass a test to invest our own finances. We take a known, and sometimes unknown, risk when we invest our finances and I implore FINRA to reconsider this proposed rule that would place hurdles to investing in front of ordinary citizens.
I believe it is overly restrictive for the FINRA to prohibit or control the products investors choose to use for their own benefit. Leveraged products allow individuals to participate in investment strategies that give opportunities that before creation were only available to the rich investors and therefore without these options small retail investors are at a disadvantage. As one example, as an investor with a small portfolio I cannot "short sale" the market without a leveraged inverse product.
I want to be able to invest in leverage funds.
Dont tread on our securities!
I am perfectly capable of assessing the risk of investment options, choosing which investments to include in my 401K, and accepting the financial consequences - beneficial or detrimental - of my investment decisions. I do not need or want government regulatory guidance or restrictions on my investment options. Please stay out of my financial opportunities and decisions.
