First off, Investing in whatever it is should be understood before hand. I think everyone knows that it is Risky for any type of investment.
I, and not regulators should be able to choose the public
investments that are right for Me and my family.
Public investments should be available to all of the public,
not just the privileged.
Do not remove our ability to invest in what we want to invest in. This would be yet another diminishing of our freedoms.
Do not touch my investment rights. I want the freedom to invest as I feel necessary, for myself and my family.
I am writing today to express my opposition to restricting investors on what I consider is the right to invest in a publicly traded investment instrument. I don't agree that obstacles or a "special process" be put in place to discriminate who can and cannot invest. All public investments should be available to all of the public, and not just wealthy people.
as an investor, I, not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for my family.
Dear FINRA, My opinion on FINRA's proposed limits is that may restrict my access to leveraged Funds or to disqualify me from trading Those types Funds or other "complex products". If you have a strong understanding of the characteristics and risks of leveraged funds, but I am not a professional. I do understand that their purpose is for short-term active trading, and that they should be monitored regularly. Moreover, warnings my brokerage firm already provides (TD Ameritrade) descriptions that said funds should only be used to short term and also the risks associated.
I should have the ability to invest in leveraged ETFs. I have done the research and understand the risks involved. I use leveraged ETFs when the market goes down and buy in small increments and sell when the market rises. I have done quite well over the past few years investing using this methodology. I believe the individual investors not regulators should be able to determine to invest their money.
I am fully aware of risks and benefits associated with leveraged ETFs. I have made a conscious decision investing in these funds which has helped me achieve my retirement goals sooner. I work for University of Southern California who has not been able to help me in retirement saving. I achieved in a short period of time what university's retirement fund specialists were planning in 20 years. I am very happy with my decision investing in leveraged ETFs. Please do not regulate an limit this valuable tool to ultra rich. We deserve a decent retirement fund as well.
Investors should be able to choose what public investments are right for them and investors should not be unreasonably restricted by various tests and hurdles before investing . There should however be warnings messages in plain language for certain funds that have high risk. Warnings, however, should not be road blocks. I do invest in inverse and leveraged funds and understand their risks.
